Femtocell added to TÜV Product Service test and service offering
Capitalising on its long history of testing and certifying GSM and 3G infrastructure equipment, TÜV Product Service is pleased to announce its service for the test and certification of so-called “Femtocell” base stations.
Femtocells are very small cellular base stations designed for use in residential or small business environments, and can operate using the same 2G/3G technologies as the more traditional Macro/Micro/Pico base stations.
We are ideally placed to offer this service as we have been testing and certifying a large percentage of the world’s cellular infrastructure for over 15 years. In fact we helped to test and certify the very first 2G and 3G base stations for use in Europe. As well as offering the full scope of testing required for market entry into Europe under the R&TTE directive, we can also offer test and certification for market entry into the USA and Canada as part of our service. By performing RF, EMC and Safety testing as well as the use of our in-house notified body (BABT), we can help with your market access through a single point of contact and all under one roof – a true “one-stop” solution.
