HMS Daring Sea Trials - boldly confident in advance
TÜV Product Service's in situ EMC team played a vital role in preparing the new Type 45 destroyer - HMS Daring - for sea. EMC testing, shielding effectiveness, transient testing and emissions measurements were all carried out by TÜV Product Service's EMC experts, prior to sea trials commencing in July 2007, bringing certainty of success.
From the depths of the gas turbine engine room, to the top of the masts containing the Sampson radar and PAAMS missile system, TÜV Product Service’s in situ EMC site test team, equipped with portable test equipment, conducted a range of compliance testing that included ships trials, RADHAZ trials, site surveys and interference investigations.
